Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Class¥° infectious diseases response education provided to nurses in military hospitals.
Methods: Quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group pre-posttest design was used. A total of 57 participants were recruited in this study (29 in the control group and 28 in the experimental group). The experimental group received the Class¥° infectious diseases response education for two weeks (10 sessions, 20 hours) from September 4 to 15 in 2023.
Results: The experimental group had a significant increase in self efficacy (F=12.57, P=.001), response efficacy (F=15.59, P=<.001), willingness to respond (F=47.15, P=<.001), and infection prevention and control (IPC) compliance related to Class¥° infectious diseases (F=4.76, P=.033).
Conclusion: The findings suggest that the program could enhance efficacy, willingness to respond, and IPC compliance against Class¥° Infectious Diseases among military nurses. Therefore, follow-up research are required for a standard program to be spread across all military hospitals.
